What are the common faults of diesel engines?

Diesel engines are one of the most commonly used agricultural machinery, and we often encounter various malfunctions during the use of diesel engines. The causes of these malfunctions are also very complex. We are often at a loss for complex fault problems. We have compiled some common faults of diesel engines and their solutions, hoping to be helpful to everyone!

 Diesel engines

Diesel engine emits smoke

Solution: 1. Turbocharger failure. 2. Poor sealing of valve components. 3. The precision coupling of the fuel injector has failed to work. 4. Excessive wear on camshaft components.

Diesel engine emits white smoke

Solution: 1. The precision coupling of the fuel injector fails. 2. Diesel engine burns oil (i.e. turbocharger burns engine oil). 3. Excessive wear on the valve guide and valve, resulting in oil leakage into the cylinder. 4. There is water in diesel fuel.
When the diesel engine is under high load, the exhaust pipe and turbocharger turn red

Solution: 1. The precision coupling of the fuel injection nozzle fails. 2. The camshaft, follower arm components, and rocker arm components are excessively worn. 3. The intercooler is too dirty and the air intake is insufficient. 4. The turbocharger and oil nozzle are not working properly. 5. Poor sealing of valves and seat rings.

Diesel engines experience significant power loss during operation

Solution: 1. Excessive wear of cylinder components. 2. The precision components of the fuel injector have failed to work. 3. The PT oil pump is malfunctioning. 4. The timing mechanism is not working properly. 5. The turbocharger is malfunctioning.

Diesel engine oil pressure too low

Solution: 1. The fit clearance between the bearing shells and the crankshaft is too large, which means that the wear between the bearing shells and the crankshaft is too large. 2. Excessive wear on various bushings and shaft systems. 3. Cooling nozzle or oil pipe leaks oil. 4. The oil pump is malfunctioning. 5. The oil pressure sensor has failed.

The above is an introduction to common faults and corresponding solutions of diesel engines.  If needed, welcome to consult!
